Dottie Rose Hutchens

August 30, 1935 — June 21, 2008

Mrs. Dottie Rose Hutchens, age 72 of South Main Street Jonesville went home suddenly to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. She was born August 30, 1935 in Yadkin County. She attended Jonesville High School and East Carolina University. She was preceded in death by her father T.W Rose and her mother Etta Rose, her brother James Rose, her sister Lucy Barnard, and her daughter Kathy Farris. She leaves behind her most loving husband Bill, who always gave her so very much tender loving care. As well, her best buddy and sister Dixie Rose Sawyer and sister Mary Blackman. Her memories will be cherished by her loving children and their families, Tommy and Brandy Dapp, Rocky and Jennifer Dapp, and Mary and Kevin Byrd. Her grandchildren Charlie, Jimmy, Alex, Ethan, Gracelyn, and many other nieces and nephews will carry on her wonderful foundation. We all will miss her tender loving heart. The family will receive friends from 7-9pm Monday June 23 at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Her funeral service will be conducted at East Elkin Full Gospel on Tuesday June 24 at 11:00 am with the Reverend Jerry Childress and Reverend Roy Nixon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
