Judy Minton

January 11, 1951 — July 5, 2006

Mrs. Judy Darlene Cheek Minton, age 55 of Beckley, WV, departed her life on July 5, 2006 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Virginia. She was born January 11, 1951 to the late Fred and Ruth Hoskins Cheek. Judy was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a lover of Horses and had won a lot of first place trophies in horse shows throughout the state. She was a therapist at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for years. Survivors include a daughter Kelly Minton Rodriguez and husband David, two grandsons, Dennis David Rodriguez and David Rodriguez, Jr. of Petersburg, Va.; three sisters, Liz Sneed of Pinehurst, Barbara Gentry of Elkin, Debbie Parks of Lancaster, SC; one brother, Larry Cheek and wife Mayvon of Pleasant Ridge. A memorial service will be held at Pleasant View Baptist Church on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
