Elkin Mrs. Rhonda Hudler McGuire, age 61, of Austin Traphill Road, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Valley Nursing Home in Taylorsville. Mrs. McGuire was born August 12, 1943 in Surry County to Ford & Edith Key Lyon Hudler. Mrs. McGuire worked as a seamstress for many years at Elkin Valley Apparel. She was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Sidden. Survivors include: two sons, Dan McGuire and wife Jennie of North Wilkesboro, Brian McGuire and wife Beth of Elkin; a daughter, Tammy McGuire Johnston of Elkin; her mother, Edith Key Lyon of Elkin; eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronald Brookshire. Burial will follow at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
