Billy James Calloway, 79 of Ronda, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Calloway was born November 24, 1930 in Wilkes County to Tom and Sarepta Pardue Calloway. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Calloway was preceded in death by two brothers, Shelby Calloway and Ted Calloway and a sister, Margaret Key. He is survived by his wife, Annie H. Calloway of the home; his son, Ronnie D. Calloway and wife Martha Ann of Ronda; two grandsons, Keith Calloway and wife Kim of King and Kevin Calloway and wife Gala of State Road; and four great grandchildren, Chandler Calloway, Olivia Calloway, Ben Calloway, and Bryson Calloway. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 am at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer Children's Home, 1006 Byrd Ridge Rd., N.
