Faye Marie Mathis

Jonesville Faye Marie Mathis, age 87, of South Main Street, passed away Monday December 22, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Ms. Mathis was born May 10, 1921 in Surry County to Everette and Faye Evans Mathis. Ms. Mathis retired from Centel Telephone Company and was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Susie Murray and two brothers, J.B. Mathis and Raymur Mathis. Survivors include; Two nieces, Nancy Patterson of Mooresville, Saborah Robinson of Elkin; a nephew, Danny Mathis of Yadkinville. Services for Ms. Mathis are private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Arlington First Baptist Church, 345 S. Main Street, Jonesville, NC 28642.
