James Trent Gilmore

June 6, 1941 — August 29, 2008

State Road Mr. James Trent Gilmore, age 67, of Forest Lane, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Gilmore was born June 6, 1941 in Surry County to Raymond Ray & Lucille Sprinkle Gilmore. Trent retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Ray Gilmore; and a sister, Joy Gilmore. Survivors include: his wife, Shelby Gilmore of the home; a daughter, Teresa Calderon and husband Victor of Boonville; two grandchildren, Rodney Crouse and Carrie Crouse; two sisters, Kathy Windsor and husband Bobby, Judy Speaks and husband Toby; two stepsons, Todd Garner and wife Debbie, Stan Garner; a stepdaughter, Kathy Garner; a step grandson, Josh Garner. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Kramm and Rev. Roger Hensley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Poplar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 38 State Road, NC 28676.
