Mr. Robert "Bobby" Walter McCann, Jr. age 58 of Winston Salem entered into rest on Monday April 4, 2011. Mr. McCann was born June 25, 1952 in Surry County to Robert W. and Alta Owens McCann. Mr. McCann was employed by Tyco and was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: A brother, Kendall McCann of Millers Creek. A sister, Sharon Raye McCann of Thurmond. Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A funeral service will be held Saturday April 9, 2011 at 2:00pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel conducted by Rev. Kenny Gunn. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12-2pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials made to the American Diabetes Association 222 South Church Street Suite 336M Charlotte, NC 28202 or to the Alzheimer's Association Western Carolina Chapter 3800 Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
