James Kelly Prevette

January 13, 1956 — February 10, 2011

Mr. James Kelly Prevette, Jr., age 55 of Roaring River, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born January 13, 1956 in Wilkes County to James Kelly and Margie Dancy Prevette. Mr. Prevette was a member of New Light Baptist Church and was a past employee with Brendle's in Elkin. Survivors include his mother Margie Dancy Prevette Yarboro of the home; brother Michael Prevette and his wife Janie of Tobaccoville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Stewart Roten officiating. Burial will follow in New Light Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N. Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621 or to Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for their care.
