Mr. Barry Douglas Alexander, age 50, of Blue Ridge Road passed away Friday, June 30, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Alexander was born June 25, 1956 in Wilkes County to Mayford and Thelma Ester Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a retired supervisor with the NC Department of Transportation. Survivors include: His wife, Karen Holbrook Alexander of the home. A son, Brian Douglas Alexander of State Road. His father and mother, Mayford and Thelma Alexander of Roaring River. Two brothers, Rick Eugene Alexander of Millers Creek, Johnny Carol Alexander of N. Wilkesboro. A sister, Vanessa Alexander Weisner of Union Grove. And his faithful dog, Milo. A graveside service will be held Sunday July 2, 2006 at 3:30 pm at Crestwood Memorial Gardens by Bro. Mark Freeman. The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm at Hodges Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
