Hyacinth Barney Triplett

Elkin Mrs. Hyacinth Barney Triplett, loving mother and grandmother, age 97, of Johnson Ridge Road, passed away, Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Elkin Healthcare. Mrs. Triplett was born December 21, 1907 in Flemming County, KY to Pete & Laura Taylor Barney. Mrs. Triplett was retired from Jonesville Drug and was a member of Jonesville United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Trent Triplett; a daughter, Jean Groce; a son, Jimmy Triplett; three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include: two sons, Donald Triplett and wife Gale of Jonesville, Larry Triplett and wife Ruby of Wilson; three daughters, Peggy Stanley and husband Harold of Elkin, Betty Martin and husband Donald, Laura Gilliam and husband Johnny all of Jonesville; a sister, Maude Timmons of Louisville, KY; eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday April 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bill Byrd. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Jonesville United Methodist Church. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Elkin Healthcare for the loving care given to Mrs. Triplett.
