William Junior Coe

September 15, 1935 — December 5, 2008

State Road Mr. William Junior Coe, age 73, of Poplar Springs Road, passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Coe was born September 15, 1935 in Surry County to Walter Thomas & Ettie Marshall Coe. Mr. Coe was retired from Wayne Farms. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Money Coe and a brother, Bobby Lee Coe. Survivors include: a son, Wayne Junior Coe and wife Tammy of State Road; a daughter, Shirley Gail Coe of State Road; three grandchildren, Madison Coe, Larry Jackson and Cindy George; three great grandchildren, Brittany George, Hunter George and Brandon George. A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Steve Kramm. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
