Sabrilla Dobbins Deborde

Elkin Mrs. Della Sabrilla Dobbins DeBorde, age 72, of Knollwood Drive, passed away, Monday, May 29, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. DeBorde was born January 8, 1934 in Surry County to Almer Grattis & Lula Stanley Dobbins. Mrs. DeBorde was a retired legal secretary from Neaves & Gillespie, P.A. and was a member of Elkin Valley Baptist Church. She was a member of the 4-H Club, Beta Club and daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Lynn DeBorde Hendrix; a sister, Lala Mae Dobbins. Survivors include: her husband, Jim DeBorde of the home; a daughter, Becky Bryant and husband Eddie of Boonville; a granddaughter, Rebekah Kate Hendrix of Pawley's Island, SC. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Valley Baptist Church by Rev. Johnny Blevins and Rev. Zach White. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. DeBorde will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Building Tomorrow Today building fund, 118 N. Elkin Drive, Elkin, NC 28621.
