Roby Watler Durham

September 25, 1927 — February 2, 2008

Ronda Mr. Roby Walter Durham, age 80, of Hwy 268, Ronda, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Durham was born September 25, 1927 in Wilkes County to Ernest Rufus & Betty Jenkins Durham. Mr. Durham was retired from Carl Rose & Sons and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah B. Durham; two sisters, Grace Couch and Edith Burchette. Survivors include: two sisters, Daisy Cheek and husband Phillip of Thomasville, Lexie McBride of Elkin; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday February 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church by Rev. James Holbrook and Rev. Rex Cranfill. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Macedonia Baptist Church Building Fund.
