Elkin, Mr. Junior Edward Vandall, age 77, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Vandall was born December 18, 1927 in Raleigh County West Virginia to Leland and Irene Bailey Vandall. Mr. Vandall was retired from Westmoreland Coal Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Vandall. Survivors include: his wife, Isabella Johnson Vandall of the home; three sons, Jeddie Vandall of Traphill, Leland Vandall of Maiden, Keith Vandall of Elkin; four daughters, Shirley Potts of Toast, Susan Gentry of Jonesville, Phyllis Hammons of Roanoak, Va., Linda Powell of Elkin; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene Vandall of Meadow Bridge, W. Va., Roger Vandall of Green Sulphur Springs, W. Va., Timmy Vandall and wife Judy of Meadow Bridge, W. Va., Eddie Vandall and Linda Vandall of Crab Orchard; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy Thomas, Violet Ennis and husband Brother, Connie Fox and husband Wayne, Dreama Neff all of Meadow Bridge, W. Va., Dollie Bryant and husband Harvey of Elton, W. Va.; eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Open Door Baptist Church by Rev. Clifford White. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends -Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
