Roaring River Mr. Arvin Bauguess, age 82, of Vittie-ison Garris Lane, passed away Friday September 24, 2004 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mr. Bauguess was born May 31, 1922 in Wilkes County to John and Verna Ingoo Bauguess. Mr. Bauguess was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Bauguess, and two brothers, Clyde Bauguess and James Bauguess. Survivors include, his wife, Bonnie Bauguess of the home. Four sons and daughters-in-law: Harvey & Lois Bauguess of Roaring River, Aldean & Linda Bauguess of Elkin, Ted & Wanda Bauguess of Roaring River, Larry & Susan Bauguess of Elkin. Five daughters and sons-in-law: Irene & David Glass of Roaring River, Linda & Steve Redding of Roaring River, Shirley & Russell Sidden of Traphill, Mary & Dale Sidden of Traphill, Barbara & Todd Haynes of Jonesville. Six brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles & Retha Bauguess of State Road, Fred and Jackie Bauguess of Boonville, Bobby & Ann Bauguess of State Road, Zeno & Judy Bauguess of Ronda, Vaughon & Marylee Bauguess of State Road, Junior & Gaynell Bauguess of Elkin. Three sisters and brothers-in-law: Patsy & Ray Dudley of East Bend, Salma & Harvey Golden of Elkin, Doris Duncan of Elkin. Twenty Grandchildren and Fourteen Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday September 27, 2004 at 2 pm at Rachel Baptist Church by Rev. Leon Mikles, Rev. Mark Wood, Rev. Greg Bauguess. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Bauguess will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:30-8:30 at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
