Fred Coy Spicer

Roaring River Mr. Fred Coy Spicer, age 47, of Spicer Road, passed away Monday, January 10, 2005 at McCain Correctional Hospital in Raeford. Mr. Spicer was born February 9, 1957 to Homer Tyre & Nellie Nelson Spicer. Mr. Spicer was retired from Wayne's Poultry. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include: a wife, Dorothy Jean Franklin Spicer; his mother, Nellie Nelson Spicer Reynolds; two daughters, Kimberly Spicer Kuptz and husband Brandon of Portsmouth, Va., Sheila Spicer Alford and husband Brian of Newport News, Va.; a son, Fred Coy Spicer, II of Traphill; two sisters, Cathern Williams and husband David of Moravian Falls, Mary Johnson and husband Mack of N. Wilkesboro; three brothers, Leon H. Spicer of Traphill, Robert J. Spicer of Yadkinville and J.D. Spicer of Traphill. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Knobbs Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Farrell Shepherd. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
