Elkin Mrs. Lorine Baker Clodfelter, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister, age 78, of Veneer Street, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Clodfelter was born October 8, 1926 in Surry County to Lonnie & Della Cockerham Baker. Mrs. Clodfelter was retired from Lucia and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis Clodfelter. Survivors include: two daughters, Cynthia Evans and husband Howard of Greensboro, Susan Foushee and husband James of Statesville; two brothers, Ray Baker of Elkin, Fred Baker of Burlington; six grandchildren, Matthew Evans, Brian Evans, Stephen Evans and wife Molly, Carson Foushee, Jordan Foushee and Sarah Foushee. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Gary Byrd. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Clodfelter will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
