Carol Sue Blakley

December 5, 1943 — April 14, 2005

Elkin Mrs. Carol Sue Blakley, age 61, of Johnson Ridge Road, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Blakley was born December 5, 1943 in Lego WV to Riley & Minnie Faye Cole Stump. Mrs. Blakley was a homemaker and was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Joseph Blakley, two sisters, Brenda Rhodes and Linda Brown. Survivors include: her mother, Minnie Faye Owens of St. Albans, W. Va.; a daughter, Renee Chiles and husband Rick; three grandchildren, Steve Carpenter, Joshua Reynolds and Shaina Reynolds; two great grandchildren, Steven Carpenter and Kaitlin Carpenter all of Ocoee, Fla.; a son, Joe Blakley and wife Amy of Thurmond; two grandchildren, Adam Blakley and Taylor Blakley all of Thurmond. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Wesleyan Church. Burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Calvary Wesleyan Church.
