Flora M. Owens

Greensboro Mrs. Flora M Owens, age 68, of Clifton Road, was called home on Tuesday, August 30, 2005. She was born August 31, 1936 in Wilkes County to Coy Watson & Ellen Victoria Royal Carter. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Coy Carter and Clyde Carter; three sisters, Ruth Carter, Ruby Becom and Lou Carter. Survivors include: two sons, Michael Eugene Corley and Tommy Neil Corley; three daughters, Tammy Owens, Cheryl Ann Owens and Sheila Owens; a brother, Colman Carter; a sister, Faye Greer Boyles and husband Michael; three nephews, Timothy Wayne Carter, Jerry Dee Greer, Michael Shane Greer; two nieces, Vickie Lynn Carter and Ellen Michele Crawley; two grand nieces, Shauna Marie Carter, Jennifer Lynn Carter; two great-great nephews; Timothy Jordan Carter, Landon Xavier Carter She will be laid to rest Friday, September 2, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Eulogy will be given by Vickie Carter. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin is serving the Owens family.
