Sarah Nell Eidson

March 16, 1926 — August 15, 2008

Elkin Ms. Sarah Nell Eidson, age 82, of Oakland Drive, passed away Friday, August 15, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Ms. Eidson was born March 16, 1926 in Surry County to Robert Paul & Jettie Hampton Eidson. Ms. Eidson was retired after 41 years from Chatham Manufacturing, and she was a member of Elkin First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Start and Lucy H. Chatham Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, and five sisters. Survivors include: a sister, Louise Moxley of Elkin; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Eidson of Elkin; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin First Baptist Church by Dr. Bill Johnson and Rev. Rebecca Maynard. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Elkin First Baptist Church or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
