State Road Rev. Gerald D. Miller, age 77, of Country Club Drive, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Rev. Miller was born August 4, 1930 in Wilkes County to Gordon T. & Mollie Key Miller. Rev. Miller was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp and was a building contractor. He was a retired minister of the Cornerstone Conference and he was the pastor of twelve churches in North Carolina over his thirty-five years in the ministry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Gord Miller, Michael Dean Miller; a sister, Agnes Miller Key; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Roseman and Fair Foster. Survivors include: his wife, Kathleen Foster Miller of the home; two sons, David Miller and wife Jeannine of Elkin, Joseph Scott Miller of State Road; four daughters, Diane Johnson and husband Wayne of Statesville, Geraldine Stoker and husband Gayle of State Road, Naomi Dudley and husband Darryl of Jonesville, Lisa Kline and husband Dennis of Hamptonville; a sister, Patricia Roseman of Salisbury; ten grandchildren, Wendy Durham and husband Eric, Jared Stoker and wife Jessica, Angie Rogers and husband Caleb, Jennifer Stoker, Jeremy Stoker, Matthew Miller and wife Jennifer, Kristy Simmons and husband Brad, Joseph Miller and wife Felicia, Audra Kline, Garrett Kline; two great grandchildren, Ethan Durham, Henry Stoker. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Tommy McGee, Rev. Tommy Fuguay, Rev. John Byerly, Rev. Roy Foster, Rev. Gayle Stoker. Burial will follow at Mountlawn Memorial Park in N. Wilkesobro. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Jonesville Pentecostal Church.
