State Road Mr. Vaughn Olden Bauguess, loving husband, daddy and papa, age 64, of Ebenezer Church Road, passed away Monday, June 13, 2005 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Bauguess was born June 17, 1940 in Wilkes County to John Sherman & Verna Ingool Bauguess. Mr. Bauguess was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was owner of North Elkin Body Shop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Arvin Bauguess, Clyde Bauguess and Jim Bauguess. Survivors include: his wife, Mary Lee Bauguess of the home; two daughters, Paula Wolfe and husband Dale, Jennifer Tharington and husband Todd all of State Road; five brothers, Charles Bauguess of State Road, Zeno Bauguess of Elkin, Bobby Bauguess of State Road, June Bauguess of Elkin, Fred Bauguess of Boonville; three sisters, Selma Golden, Doris Duncan both of Elkin, Patsy Dudley of East Bend; four grandchildren, Zach and Dylan Wolfe, Erin and Luke Tharington. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church by Rev. Cynthia Arnold and Rev. Harold Smisor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
