Edith Karen Elledge

State Road, Mrs. Edith Karen Elledge, age 58 of State Road, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born June 26, 1952 in Surry County to Ira Gene and Margie Edith Harris Cranford. Mrs. Elledge was a member of Central Full Gospel Church where she sang in the church choir. She loved to take care of the elderly and was a loving mother and sister and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Shaun Keith Elledge. Survivors include: her daughter Anessa Lynn Elledge of Booneville, brothers Jimmy "Bo" Cranford and wife Donnalene of Elkin and Michael Cranford and wife Tammie of Booneville; sisters Shirley Hinson of Jonesville, Opal Holsclaw and husband Arvil of Elkin, Christine Kingston and husband David of Elkin, Brenda Holsclaw and husband Linville of Booneville, and Vicky Goins and her husband "Lummie" of State Road. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Central Full Gospel Church with Rev. Bobby Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Central Full Gospel Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Full Gospel Church, PO Box 35, State Road, NC 28676. The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital for their care.
