Samuel Conner Garmon, age 1, of Nichols Road, Jonesville, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 30, 2004 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hosptial. Samuel was born March 26, 2003 in Buncombe County to Jesse Wayne & Rebecca Robinson Garmon, Jr.

Samuel attended Calvary Wesleyan Church and will always be remembered by his smile and laughter.

Survivors include: his father and mother, Jesse Wayne and Rebecca Robinson Garmon, Jr. of the home; one sister, Emily Cheryl Garmon of the home; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Bobbie Garmon of Elkin; maternal grandparents, Howard and Alta Robinson of Hendersonville, NC; paternal aunts and uncles, Beth and Jeff Poplin of Elkin, Chris and Doreen Garmon of Clemmons, DeAnne and Andrew Burgess of South Portland, Maine; maternal aunts and uncles, Stephanie and David Rhyne of Liberty, SC; Glen and Natalie Robinson of Huntington, Ind.; cousins, Kacie and Anna Poplin, Daniel and James Garmon, Ellie and Mitchell Rhyne.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Wesleyan Church by Rev. Steve Robinson, Rev. Glen Robinson and Rev. Jesse Garmon. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Samuel will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Bethany Christian Services 25 Reed Street, PO Box 15569, Asheville, NC 28813-0569.
