Donny F. Masterson 64 died December 11, 2006 at St. Maries, Idaho He was born une 28, 1942 to Lee and Verna McNinch Masterson at Prineville, Oregon. He grew up in Polson, MT. He moved to Idaho with his family in 1959. He graduated from Lakeland High School at Rathdrum, ID with the class of 1962. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired as First Sgt. In 1988. He married Sherie Loy in 1964 at Coeur d' Alene, ID. She died in an automobile accident in 1967. He married Frankie Pederson Dec. 1, 1967 at Coeur d' Alene. They made their home in Coeur d' Alene where he worked in the family logging business. He moved to St. Maries in 1969 and went to work for Merle Humphrey Logging Co. as a loader operator. He went to work for Scott & Son's Logging as a loader operator and became shop foreman for the company in 2000. Donny collected model "Mack" trucks, he also restored a "Mack" truck. He enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Historical Truck Society of Pennsylvania and a member of the Paul Bunyan Day's Committee. Donny is survived by his wife Frankie at the family home in St. Maries. He is also survived by his mother Verna Masterson of Rathdrum. His sons and daughters-in-law: Donny and Lynn Masterson and Mark and Teresa Masterson, his daughter and son-in-law Kari and Kenny Nelson and daughter Kristi Masterson all of St. Maries. And his daughter and son-in-law Heidi and Tim Webber of Polson, MT. Also surviving are brothers: Gale and Mel Masterson and Dale Flemming all of St. Maries, Murray Masterson of Athol, ID , Roy Masterson of Greenacres , WA and Ellery Masterson of Hayden Lake, ID. Donny is also survived by his sisters Carol Bates of Missoula, MT and Mary Lambert and Dorothy Flemming both of Rathdrum, ID. He is also survived by 15 grandchidren. He was preceded in death by his father Lee Masterson and brother Clark Masterson. Memorial Services were Friday, Dec. 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church with Pastor Gary Foster officiating. The family suggests memorials to BetterCare c/o Benewah Comm. Hospital, St. Maries, ID. Hodge Funeral Home, St. Maries was entrusted with arrangements.
