Harold Dean Peacock

February 11, 1943 — October 17, 2006

Jonesville Mr. Harold Dean Peacock, age 63, of Messick Road, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Peacock was born February 11, 1943 in Iredell County to Ivy & Lizzie Padgett Peacock. Mr. Peacock was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hamptonville and was retired from Phillips Van Heusen. Mr. Peacock was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Peacock, Herman Peacock and Larry Peacock; two sisters, Kathleen Frye and Julia Sizemore. Survivors include: his wife, Elsie Swaim Peacock of the home; a son, Tim Peacock of the home; two brothers, Gary Peacock and Ronnie Peacock both of Mocksville; a sister, Sue Cunningham of Dry Fork, Va. Funeral services will be held Friday October 20, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hamptonville at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Joe Souther. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
