State Road Mr. Donald Lee Macemore, age 64, of Mountain Park Road, passed away, Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Mr. Macemore was born August 5, 1942 in Yadkin County to Everette Daniel & Annie Benton Macemore. Mr. Macemore was retired from Piedmont/US Airways and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and was a past member of International Brotherhood of Machinists. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Gray Macemore. Survivors include: his wife, Sharon Poindexter Macemore of the home; two daughters, Donna Macemore Crissman and husand Rusty of Boonville, Kimberly Macemore Stone and husband Eric of Winston-Salem; his mother, Annie Benton Macemore of California; three stepsons, Joshua Poindexter of Indianapolis, Joel Poindexter and John Poindexter both of Charlotte; four brothers, Dillon Ray Macemore of Jonesville, Albert Daniel Macemore of Boonville, Terry Everette Macemore and wife Jean, Jerry Y. Macemore all of Jonesville; three grandchildren, Robert Justin Crissman, Victoria Dane Crissman and James Everette Stone. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Church by Rev. John Attaway and Rev. Jimmy Pardue. Burial will follow in the Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
