Johnny Eugene Welborn

Jonesville Mr. Johnny Eugene Welborn, age 67, of Welborn Street, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Welborn was born April 28, 1937 in Yadkin County to Lewis & Edna McMillan Welborn. Mr. Welborn retired from Duke Power and was a member of Mt. Olive Holiness Church where he was a deacon, past treasure and Choir Director. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Welborn Byrant and Lonnie Mae Kirkpatrick; two brothers, Authur Lee Welborn and Thomas Welborn. Survivors include: his wife, Delores V. Welborn of the home; four sons, Arthur W. Gray and wife Iva T.; Johnny E. Welborn, Jr., Derrick P.L. Welborn all of Jonesville, Brett Shane Welborn of the home; three daughters, Anjanetta G. Dingle and husband Charles Benard Dingle of Jonesville, Holly Annette Gray of Rameseur, Teri J. Welborn Williams and husband Theodore Craig of Jonesville; two brothers, James Lewis Welborn and wife Etta, Larry Welborn all of Jonesville; a siter, Kay Frances Welborn Middleton of Greensboro; ten grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; a special friend, Erica Williams of Yadkinville; a host of Relatives and Friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Holiness Church by Elder Arthur W. Gray. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Welborn will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
