Timothy James "T.J." Grieser 29 a lifetime resident of St. Maries, died March 27, 2010 from injuries received in an avalanche while snowmobiling near Superior, MT. He was born Sept. 11, 1980 to Jim and Becky Beal Grieser at St. Maries, ID. He grew up in St.Maries. He played little league baseball and wrestled in NIWL and wrestled through his Sophomore year. He played High School Basketball and played on the St. Maries High School Golf Team. While in High School, he worked part time for his grandfather's logging company. He graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1999. He attended Boise State University before returning to St. Maries to work for St. Maries Logging Co. as a tree processor operator. He married Ananda Harper on January 15, 2005 at St. Lucia, West Indies. He was a member of the St. Joe Snow Riders. His favorite quote was "Summer Sucks" consequently, his favorite hobby was snowmobiling. He also enjoyed dirt bike riding, hunting, fishing, art work and restoring his 1968 Camaro. He enjoyed playing with his best friend "Moose" his black lab. Really, to know TJ was to love him. He was quiet, loyal, trustworthy, nice, gentle, kind and loving. According to some, he was the best friend anyone could ever have. When you were lucky enough to get a hug from TJ, you knew it was genuine. He is survived by his wife Ananda at their family home as well as their unborn child due in August. Also surviving are his parents Jim and Becky Grieser of St.Maries and grandparents Jim and Ingrid Beal of St. Maries and grandmother Bernadine Grieser of Pullman, WA Also surviving are his sister and husband Birgitta and Tim Loucks, niece Charlize and nephew Payton of Spokane, WA and his sister Karin Grieser of Boise, ID as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Robin Jones and husband Jerry Waddell of St. Maries and father-in-law Robin Harper of Bloomington, Indiana. Sister in law and husband Laurel and Mike Kitzman of Maryland. He was preceeded in death by his grandfather Eugene Grieser. Viewing will be Tuesday and Wednesday, March 30 and 31 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Hodge Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be Saturday, April 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Maries Church of the Nazarene Gymnasium with Fr. Timothy Ritchey officiating.
