Traphill, NC Mr. Leon Homer Spicer, age 63, of N. Lomax Road, passed away Thursday, December 06, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Spicer was born May 15, 1944 in Wilkes County to Homer Tyre & Nellie Nelson Spicer. Mr. Spicer was owner of Spicer's Towing. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Coy Spicer. Survivors include: three sons, Mark Spicer and wife Angela of Hamptonville, Brady Spicer and Ricky Spicer both of Traphill; his mother, Nellie Nelson Reynolds of Wilkesboro; two brothers, J.D. Spicer of Roaring River, Robert Spicer of Yadkinville; two sisters, Mary Johnson of N. Wilkesboro, Katherine Williams of Moravian Falls; seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Farrell Shepherd and Rev. Doug Anderson. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
