John Henry Lamoreaux Iii

February 1, 1942 — October 9, 2010

Mr. John "Jack" Henry Lamoreaux III, age 68, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010. Mr. Lamoreaux was born February 1, 1942 in Newark, NJ to John Henry, Jr. and Carol Brady Lamoreaux. He was a member of ARRL, a musician, and a rock collector and was a retired carpenter. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step father Nicholas Mango. Survivors include his wife Naomi Harless Lamoreaux of the home, his mother Carol Brady Mango of Torrance, CA, sons John Lamoreaux of Long Branch, NJ and James Lamoreaux of Mount Airy; daughters Jacque Christine Faigelman of Huntington, NY and Jennifer Carol Baugus of Mount Airy; sisters Claire Lefkowich of Torrance, CA and Peggy Edwards of Riverside, CA, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Island Ford Baptist Church with Rev. Conrad Hatfield, Rev. Robert Harless, Rev. Mark Harless, and Rev. Rodney Canter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N. Bridge Street, Elkin, NC 28621. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care.
