Dickerson Mrs. Mary Jane Dickerson, age 60, of Silversmith Trail, Dobson, passed away, Monday, February 19, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Dickerson was born July 18, 1946 in Wilkes County to Rexie & Texie Anderson Spicer. Mrs. Dickerson was a homemaker and was a member of Country Baptist Church in Dobson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Spicer; an infant daughter, Patricia Cockerham; to infant sons, Timmy Cockerham and Matthew Cockerham. Survivors include: her husband, Jerry Lee Dickerson of the home; a daughter, Elizabeth Ladd and husband Robbie of Dobson; a brother, Larry Spicer and wife Tonia of Elkin; a sister, Ruby Byrd and husband Lonnie of N. Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Travis Wright, Christopher Wright and Joshua Wright; one great grandchild, Morgan Leigh Wright; two step grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Joe Atkins and Rev. Fred Holbrook. Burial will follow at Oak Level Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
