Elkin Mr. Richard Glenn Money, age 79, of Pleasant Hill Drive, went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2006. Mr. Money was born July 22, 1927 in Wilkes County to Casey and Vesta Love Money. Mr. Money was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Billings Hill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Darnell Money, one sister, Pauline Miller; one brother, Lloyd "L.B." Money and a great grandson, Steven Sparks. Survivors include: two sons, Dale Money and wife Brenda of Elkin, Randall Money and wife Yvonne of State Road; three daughters, Loretta Sparks and husband Ronnie, Becky Sparks and husband Tommy all of Elkin, Tammie Money of Harmony; four brothers, Claude Money of Greensboro, Guy Money and Wife Mildred; Clyde "Ray" Money all of Flint, MI, Vernon Money of Winston-Salem; ten grandchildren, Jon Sparks, Janel Sparks, Misty Ball, Josh Sparks, Daisy Sparks, Jeremy Sparks, Ricky Money, Dustin Sparks, Cody Money, Devan Money; five great grandchildren, Candace Sparks, Summer Sparks, Catlin Sparks, Ben Sparks, Conner Ball; several loving nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bobby Dameron. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
