Jonesville Mr. Alan Dale Lassiter, age 57, of N. Arlington Ave., passed away Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Lassiter was born July 2, 1951 in Randolph County to James O. & Alma Burkhart Lassiter. Mr. Lassiter was retired from Interface Fabrics. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Lassiter of the home; a son Jeffery Alan Lassiter of Jonesville; a daughter, Shannon Nichole Simpson and husband Aaron of Jonesville; three brothers, James L. Lassiter of Wilkesboro, Don Lassiter and Garry Lassiter both of Jonesville; a sister, Elaine L. Barnes of Elkin; two grandchildren, Jacob Simpson and Jairus Simpson; his father-in-law, Frank Bowen of Boonville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 9, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Arlington First Baptist Church by Rev. Jerry Fugate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Lassiter will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Arlington First Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, Jonesville, NC 28642.
