Edward T. Lundt 72 longtime St. Maries resident , died March 25, 2011 at Post Falls, ID following an extended illness. He was born January 21, 1938 to Clifford and Theresa Krick Lundt at Genesee, ID. He grew up in Genesee and graduated from St. Maries High School with the class of 1956. As a young man, he went to work for the U.S. Forest Service. He married Juanita Baldock on April 15, 1961 at St. Maries. He worked his entire career with the Forest Service working as an engineer and surveyor. His wife was the Benewah County Treasurer and they traveled to many Idaho Assn. Of Counties meetings as well as Fraternal Order of Eagles meetings through out the state. He retired in 2000. His wife died in 2003. In his retirement, he worked partime for the City of St. Maries at Woodlawn Cemetery. He also volunteered at the Eagles Lodge and worked with the Elks Christmas Basket program. He enjoyed going to the Oregon coast with his family and spending time with grandsons Nick and Nathan. He was a member of St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church , the St. Maries Eagles and Elks lodges and the Paul Bunyan Days Committee. He also served on the St. Maries Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law Steve and Shelly Lundt of St. Maries, daughter and son-in-law Karla and Duane Sullivan of Hayden, ID. Also surviving are his brother Clifford Lundt of Alabama, sisters Elsie Hayfield of Spokane, WA, Ruth Burdine of San Antonio, TX and Agnes Wallin of Coeur d' Alene. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. At St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, St. Maries, ID with Fr. Timothy Ritchey celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will follow services at the St. Maries Eagles Lodge. The family suggests memorials to the River City Hospice 3726 E. Mullan Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854.
