Emmie Upchurch Casey

February 20, 1926 — June 24, 2005

Mrs. Emmie Upchurch Casey age 79, of Austin Traphill Road, passed away Friday June 24, 2005 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Casey was born Febuary 20, 1926 in Lambsburg Va. to Frank and Bessie Baker Upchurch. Mrs Casey was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Chatham Manufacturing Company. In addition to her parents Mrs. Casey was preceded in death by her husband John Junior Casey, a son Otteen Spicer and three brothers. Survivors include; one daughter Brenda Casey Holbrook and her husband James of Elkin, one brother Green Upghurch of White Plains, two sisters Lily Danley of White Plains and Mamie Potts Of Mt. Airy. Four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A graveside services will be held Monday June 27, 2005 at 11:00am at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Russ Nixon. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00-9:00 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
