Linda Kay Nance

February 13, 1954 — October 31, 2008

Linda Kay Nance, age 54, of Joe Lane Mill Road passed away Friday October 31, 2008 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Nance was born February 13, 1954 in McDowell County West Virginia to Jimmy and Mary Bailey Henley. Mrs. Nance was employed by Wayne's Farm Hatchery and was a member of Welcome View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Ray Henley and David Monroe Henley. Survivors include; her husband, Jerry Lee Nance of the home. A son, Terry Lee Nance of Elkin. A brother, Rev. Danny Henley and wife Angela. Four sisters, Patricia Freeman and husband Lonnie of Elkin, Jean Shores and husband Henry of Thurmond, Connie Atkins and husband Jimmy of Dobson, Angela Beck and husband Donald of Ararat. Linda is also survived by her extended family, her co-workers at Wayne's Farm Hatchery. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 5, 2008 at Welcome View Baptist Church at 2:00 pm conducted by Rev. Marty Reece and Rev. Danny Henley. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
