Elkin Mrs. Mozelle Myers, age 77, of Grassy Fork Road, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2005 at her residence. Mrs. Myers was born October 21, 1927 in Wilkes County to Coy & Lona Cockerham Ledbetter. Mrs. Myers was retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Charity United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice L. Myers; two brothers, McKinley Ledbetter and Odell Ledbetter; a sister, Carol Ledbetter. Survivors include: three sons, Tommy Myers and wife Linda of State Road, John Myers and wife Helen of Elkin, David Myers and wife Carolyn of Statesville; two daughters, Barbara Wagoner and husband Gary of Roaring River, Frances Willey and husband Jimmy of Elkin; a brother, Denver Ledbetter of Elkin; three sisters, Connie Spicer and Bonnie Spicer both of State Road, Louise Mitchell of Troutman; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Charity United Methodist Church by Rev. Rex Cranfill and Rev. Hagan McClellan. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Charity United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
