Dennis Allen Wilcox

June 20, 1947 — April 17, 2008

Ronda, NC Dennis Allen Wilcox 60, of Ronda passed away Thursday, April 17th after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Mr. Wilcox was born June 20, 1947 in Surry County to Roby and Bertha Mae Wilcox. Dennis was retired from the Wilkes County Emergency Medical Services. Surviving are his parents, his wife Frances Younger Wilcox of the home and a godmother, Virginia Black of Mt. Airy; two sons, Tim Wilcox and wife Lisa of Millers Creek, Jeff Wilcox and wife Amy of Greensboro. Three grandchildren: Nathaniel, Kendall and Nicholas Wilcox; a brother Roby Dean and wife Phyllis Wilcox of Elkin; a special canine companion Grunt. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 19th at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin by Rev. Larry Lefler. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of Wilkes 1907 West Park Drive, N.
