Volly Sue Luffman

Ronda Mrs. Volly Sue Luffman, age 59, of Luffman Farm Road passed away Saturday February 23, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Luffman was born in Alleghany County May 26, 1948 to Raleigh and Annie Brooks Caudill. Mrs. Luffman retired from American Geological Institute in Alexandria, VA and was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Caudill. Survivors include: Her husband, Clyde Luffman of the home. Two step-daughters, Deanna Schipman and husband Jim of Thomasville, Stephanie Luffman of Winston Salem. A brother, Hugh Stevenson Caudill and wife Lydia of San Diego. Two sisters, Pauline Bell and husband Oliver of Statesville, Gloria Woodie and husband Wayne of Roaring River. A step granddaughter, Kayla Michelle Schipman. A host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gwyn Anderson and Rev. Burl Faw. Burial will follow in Little Elkin Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Little Elkin Baptist Church Building Fund.
