Lona Irwin Osborne

April 16, 1931 — January 5, 2007

Mrs. Lona Irwin Osborne, age 75, of C.B. Eller School Road, passed away, Friday, January 5, 2007 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Osborne was born April 16, 1931 in Alleghany County to Preston & Olivia Wagoner Irwin. Mrs. Osborne was retired from Lucia and was a member of Old Roaring River Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lyndon "Allen" Osborne; three brothers, John, Joe and Coy Irwin; seven sisters, Rose Joines, Matilda Joines, Minnie Wagoner, Alice Cranford, Caroline Irwin, Reatha Irwin and Pearl Irwin. Surviving and carrying her memory close are her three daughters, Patricia "Pat" Sidden and husband Alan of Traphill, Barbara Tucker and husband Aldean of Elkin, Nancy Hincher of Seaford, Delaware; a son, Larry Hincher of New York, New York; a sister, Audry Skinner and husband Wilmber of Johnson City, TN; four grandchildren, Wendy Gant, Dwayne Sidden, Grayson Tucker, Kendra Tucker; six great grandchildren, Letitia Gant, Ashton Gant, Anna Gant, Christian Sidden, Micah Sidden and Kassidy Tucker. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 8, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Roger Groce and Rev. Russ Nixon. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Old Roaring River Baptist Church, Traphill, NC 28685.
