Dobson Mr. Theron Odell Miller, Sr., age 86 of River Road, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2006 after an extended illness. Odell was born December 18, 1919, the second of six children to Junius A. & LaNora Hinson Miller. He was a WWII veteran having served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Army and he was a retired poultry farmer. He was married for more than 63 years to Nues Bray Miller who preceded him in death in March 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Annie Lee Jackson and Beatrice Adams. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Terry & Gail Miller of Dobson, Alex & Connie Miller of Lewisville, and Kenneth & Diane Miller of Independence, Va.; five grandchildren & spouses, Gary Miller, Teresa & John Perry, Andrea Miller, Stephanie & Daniel McDuffee and Sheena Miller; three great grandchildren, Tiffany Miller, Seth Perry and Patrick McDuffee; three sisters, Dorothy Barker, June Harris and Jackie Sperry. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Rocky Ford Baptist Church with the Rev. Claude Lloyd officiating. Mr. Miller will lie instate 1 hour prior to the service from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rocky Ford Baptist Church.
