Clarence D. Mueller

Clarence D. Mueller 97 life time resident of St. Maries, ID went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 1, 2010. He was born April 25, 1913 to Henry and Marie Jacot Mueller at St. Maries, ID He grew up in the St. Joe Valley. He attended the Omega School. As a young man, he went to work in the woods with his brothers. He married Henriette Verbarg June 11, 1937 at San Francisco, CA. They made their home at St. Maries, ID Following the death of his brother Herman, he went into business with his twin brother Walter and brother Edwin Sr. to form Mueller Brothers Logging. They operated the business for 34 years and retired in 1965. He enjoyed bee keeping, and gardening. He also enjoyed tending to his property on Wolf Draw, near St. Maries. He worked part time for St. Maries Concrete and was involved in the construction of the retaining wall at the Federal Building, something that he was very proud of being a part of. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. He will be remembered as a Godly man, loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. His wife of 73 years died on May 5th of this year. He attended Omega Gospel Hall Church all of his life. He is survived by his son's and daughters-in-law Keith and Linda Mueller, Ken and Connie Mueller and Don and Rita Mueller all of St. Maries and daughter and son-in-law Martha and Fred Guenther and daughter Barbara Balsiger also of St. Maries, ID Clarence is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Herman, Edwin Sr., his twin brother Walter and brother Ted Mueller. Also by twin sisters who died shortly after birth. Funeral Services were Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. At the Community Presbyterian Church, St. Maries, with Mr. Sam Jacot officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery. Refreshments were served following the graveside services back at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Fund for Christian Service, 8831 Baywood Dr., Huntington Beach, CA 92646-2613.
