Elkin Mrs. Pauline Jackson Eller, age 85, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Britthaven of Wilkes. Mrs. Eller was born December 10, 1922 in Wilkes County to W.M. & Addie Cass Jackson. Mrs. Eller was a member of West Elkin Baptist Church where she was a School Teacher and a member of the Choir and WMU, she loved her church and her church family. She also enjoyed fellowship, worshipping and reading her bible daily as long as she was able. Mrs. Eller loved cooking for her family, sewing, basket weaving and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Eller; two brothers, Johnny Jackson, Bryant Jackson; a sister, Ruby Knight. Survivors include: three daughters, Polly Dimmette and her husband Philip of Hamptonville, Florence E. Billings of Elkin, Brenda Tharpe and husband Barry T. of Roaring River; three brothers, Alex Jackson, Harold Jackson, and Charles Jackson all of Waxhaw; two sisters, Ima Burbank of Rutherford, Helen Frye of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Mark Dimmette, Scott Dimmette, Steven Brown, Michael Brown, Amy Heckel, Jeff Tharpe and John Tharpe; sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Chris White, Rev. Barry Tharpe. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to Britthaven Alzheimer's Unit or to West Elkin Baptist Church.
