Mr. Timothy "Tim" James Harris, 53 of Elkin, passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 at his home. Mr. Harris was born June 15, 1957 in Surry County to James and Ruth Lynett Harris. Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Pam Stewart Harris; his mother, Ruth Lynett; his mother-in-law, Jessie Stewart; a sister, Cindy Asbury; a sister-in-law, Sharon Key; brother-in-law, Jim Stewart & wife Betsy; three nieces, Kelly Asbury, Brianna Stewart, and Shana Key; and a nephew, Ryan Boland. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tri County Christian Crisis Ministry, 134 Bluff Street, Jonesville, NC 28642, or to the Boy Scouts of America.
