Marjory Alice Marley

April 24, 1920 — March 2, 2005

Elkin Mrs. Marjory Alice Marley, age 84, of Elk Spur Street, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Marley was born April 24, 1920 in Flint, Michigan to Earle & Roxy Fuller Brice. Mrs. Marley was a graduate of University of Miami where she majored in mathematics. She was a longtime resident of Jacksonville Beach Florida before moving to Elkin. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include: her loving husband, Thomas C. Marley of the home; two daughters who had the best mother on this earth while growing up at Atlantic Beach, Fl., Nancy Marley of Naperville, Ill and Judy Marley of Elkin; a grandson, Shaun Gibbs of Elkin; a son-in-law, Jeff Gaffney of Naperville, Ill. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Mountlawn Memorial Park Chapel. Entombment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Surry County Animal Shelter, 118 Hamby Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
