Charles Arthur Wilkins

Thurmond Mr. Charles Arthur Wilkins, age 73, of S. Center Church Road, passed away Monday, January 28, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Wilkins was born December 27, 1934 in Van Wert County, Ohio to Arthur & Neva Sawmiller Wilkins. Mr. Wilkins was retired from Allied Signal in Phoenix, AZ and was a member of Center Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge #306 in Spencerville, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Wilkins. Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn Mullenhour Wilkins of the home; a son, Darius Wilkins of State Road; two daughters, Virginia Shores and husband James of State Road, Christine Gillespie and husband Robert of Jenera, Ohio; a brother, Jim Wilkins and wife Esther of Loris, S. Carolina; a sister, Donna Holmes and husband Ron of Burbank, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Robert Gillespie, Melissa Fensler, Brad Gillespie, Kristopher Gillespie, Daryl Shores, Travis Shores, Darius Wilkins and Nicholas Wilkins; six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday January 30, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Center Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy Gilreath.
