Traphill Mrs. Nancy Ann Absher Wagoner, age 97, of North Lomax Road, passed away Saturday April 8, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Wagoner was born in Wilkes County May 17, 1908 to Daniel Alex and Sarah Melinda Jolly Absher. Mrs. Wagoner was a homemaker and was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Noah Gordon Wagoner, four sons, Ted, Ray, Franklin D., and Terry Wagoner, one daughter, Betty Sue Stricklin. Survivors include: Five sons and daughters-in-law, J.C. Wagoner and wife Mary of Winston Salem, Harvey Wagoner and wife Betty Jean of Elkin, Daniel Wagoner and wife Caroleen of Traphill, Gary Wagoner and wife Barbara of Roaring River, Jerry Wagoner and wife Linda of N. Wilkesboro. Three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lee Spicer and husband Von of Dobson, Linda Bauguess and husband Pete of Traphill, Gaye Bauguess and husband Lindbergh of Traphill. Mrs. Wagoner was also blessed with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Oak Level Baptist Church by Rev. James Hall and Rev. Olin Barker. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. Mrs. Wagoner will lie instate thirty minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 pm at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
