Leonard A. Ferguson 75 longtime St. Maries, ID resident , died Nov. 24, 2010 at his home at Santa, ID following a 7 month illness. He was born April 24, 1935 to Harold and Joannah Powell Ferguson at Harrison, ID He attended Harrison School where he excelled in basketball. He graduated from Harrison High School with the class of 1954. He then enlisted into the U.S. Airforce. He served in Weisbaden , Germany and Great Falls, MT He was discharged in 1962. He was married several times including marriges to Janet Bailey, Kathleen McKerron and his present wife, Freda Kremposki who he married in August of 2000. His employment included working for St. Maries Plywood , Co., Regulus Stud Mills, St. Maries Texaco, the St. Maries Lumber Co. , Pacific Crown and Branson's Cheveron Station. He worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Fernwood Comm. Bible Church, the V.F.W. And American Legion organizations. He was a past Commander of the V.F.W. Post and served as Quartermaster for many years. He belonged to the American Vets and the National Rifleman's Assn. As well as other various civic organizations . He loved cats and always had one or more. He is survived by his wife Freda at the family home in Santa. Sons Bob Ferguson of Columbia Falls, MT, James Anissa Ferguson of Cataldo, ID, Jeff Ferguson of Spokane, WA and Joel Theresa Ferguson of Washougal, WA. John Becky Ahonen of Santa, ID, George Kremposki of Burbank, Wa. Also surviving are daughters Vicki Ferguson of Kalispell, MT, Jean Ranta of Wakefield, MI and Judy Larry Melloon of Richland, WA. And Amy Ahonen of Helena, Mt. He is also survived by brother Roy Ferguson of Cheney and sister Alice Willey of Spokane, WA as well as 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by daughter Carrie Rose Ferguson, brother Dale Ferguson and sisters Lois Pierce and Bonnie Ahola and nephew Jason Ferguson. Memorial Services will be Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. At the Fernwood Comm. Bible Church with Pastor Brian Primer officiating.
