Emogene Moody

March 8, 1920 — June 21, 2006

Mrs. Emogene "Jean" Moody, age 86, passed away Wednesday June 21, 2006 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Moody was born March 8, 1920 in Avondale W. Va. to Hampton and Martha Wall Booth. In addition to her parents Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her husband Ed Moody and a brother Paul Moody. Survivors include; two sons, Don Moody and his wife Peggy and Dwight Moody and his wife Donna all of State Road. One sister, Tamsy Myers of Bristol TN., four grandchildren; Joni Glover, Toni Jones, Donna Phillips, and Melissa Manning. Seven great grandchildren; Brittany Glover, Hillary Jones, Kelby Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Kim Manning, Kirk Manning, and Aby Manning. Funeral services for Mrs. Moody will be held Friday June 23, 2006 at 11:00am at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. John Attaway, and Rev. Finley McCoury. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 10-11am at Hodges Funeral Home in Elkin.
